THE
LAIRD’S CHOICE by Amanda Scott
Is the unexpected always a surprise?
Andrena MacFarlan likes the independent life
of a lass, roaming about as she so desires.
Her obligation to marry and save her father’s properties falls on her
shoulders and the man her father chooses for her is Magnus Galbraith. Who would think an escaped prisoner would be
her father's first choice.
Magnus agrees to the arrangement, which
offers him the chance to establish a name and life now that his father has
disowned him. He suffered as a prisoner
of his father’s enemy knowing that he was completely alone and accepting that
he had to fend for himself. Marrying
Andrena provides a warmth to his heart and releases emotions long held in check
that he could not have imagined still existed.
Magnus has a new mission to keep her safe and be a good Laird to his
newly acquired kingdom.
What Magnus did not expect was a lady wife
with the ability to sense danger and not follow his orders, he could not decide
which vexed him more. Magnus does have a
mission though and it involves something greater than any other obligation he
has at the moment. Taking Andrena with
him is dangerous but being apart from her is torture and he could not survive
that again.
Amanda Scott reveals her characters in slow
progression allowing the reader to savor each new quality revealed. Ms. Scott’s stories are so well written
readers always rejoice with the story she tells.
Hop over to SOS Aloha to read Kim's blog about this!

I saw her blog as well. This looks like a great read.
ReplyDeleteI love Amanda's Highlander books, and would love to read this. I was at Kim's blog earlier, and left a comment.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and your family Mary.

This sounds fantastic! I hadn't heard of this book before you and Kim spotlighted it. Definitely adding to my wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteI love Highlander stories and for some reason am drawn to arranged marriage stories too so this is just my type of story!
ReplyDeleteThe unexpected can be a surprise.
ReplyDeleteAmanda Scott sounds right up my alley as I am a hopeless groupie when it comes to a Scottish laird (Jamie Fraser/Diana Gabaldon's Outlander.)
ReplyDeleteI will certainly be reading The Laird's Choice.
I took a tour of Amanda's blog tour of Scotland's Castles. I am now thinking I would love to spend a romantic holiday touring those castles with my hubby. It has been 26 years since our last trip to Scotland. I think we are overdue for a journey to somebody's homeland...(not mine or his, but somebody's...)
It looks like a story I would enjoy.
