REVIEW from Mary Gramlich "The Reading Reviewer"
TOUCH
OF A SCOUNDREL by Mia
Marlowe
When you see a glimpse of the future, do you
try to change it?
Griffin Titus Preston Nash or Devon to his
friends has controlled the destiny of so many for too long, while trusting no
one. He felt that the responsibility of
his life and the gift he possessed has become a burden without pleasure. Miss Emmaline Farnsworth always found a way
of turning nothing into something with her own type of gift and she is about to
pull off the largest swindle of her life.
What Emma never expected was for her latest
mark to have a brother that can catch glimpses of the future. Emma feels she landed in a bed of roses but
Devon sees her thorns and has an uncontrollable desire to prick his finger on
one. While Emma tries to balance one
brother, while seducing the other it becomes a confusing experience trying to
figure out which brother she truly desires.
Devon is seeing his future as well as the
present very clearly and all of it involves a woman his brother has clearly
claimed as his own. Emma tries very hard
to resist Devon’s charm and let the plan she has hatched unfold but the wrinkles
are showing and she is bereft to control the situation. Both Devon and Emma hold their cards close to
the vest and keep their secrets safe but is that really going to work when both
of them know the biggest secret is the love they feel for one another. Can love be contained or controlled, neither
Devon nor Emma think so.
Whatever will happen when everyone finds out
that the greatest piece of artwork ever created was Emma and Devon will do
anything to own her.
Mia Marlowe creates magic with her words and
romance with her story. No reader will
be able to put Touch of a Scoundrel down until the last word is consumed.

I definitely can't run a scam. But I love scam queens especially in movies. One of my favorite movies of all time is Barbara Stanwyck's The Lady Eve where she pretends to be a lady to lure Henry Fonda. One of my favorite movies of all times!
ReplyDeleteI don't think so.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'd be be able to run a scam because I'm not very good at telling falsehoods and fooling people.
ReplyDeleteNo way no how would I be able to run a scam.
ReplyDeleteThere is no way I could run a cam but I am sure I do have the ability.
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, maybe. Scam is rampant in our country. Their are a lot of ways on how they do it and how to be safe. But I'm not going to try try it, my mom works at the church, so she might kill me. ;p
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could run a scam. Honesty is just too important to me. I don't think I'd be a convincing liar.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I'll be able to run a scam since I'm very bad at telling lies. But, maybe if I watch enough Leverage I'll be able to pull something off.
ReplyDeleteNot a chance. I'm a horrible liar. Maybe that's why I believe other people's lies so readily since it's not something I think of doing myself.
ReplyDeleteI could never run a scam!
ReplyDeleteNo way could I run a scam on anyone! Just not me.
ReplyDeleteI would never run a scam! I would be too nervous if I even tried! lol
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely not :) I can't lie w/ a straight face or keep lies straight... so i'd always be outing myself.
ReplyDeleteNo way. I could never deprive anybody of something that they've worked hard for. I can't lie either. I'm an honest person and trustworthy. I hate it when I hear of people having been scammed.
ReplyDeleteThanks to you an Mia for such a very generous contest. I'd love to read both books.
I am a good liar which I should not admit to but only where my husband is concerned and stuff I buy.
ReplyDeleteAdrienne
Terrible liar but let's face it we have all pulled a scam once or twice in our lives.
ReplyDeleteDJ in Denver - love that cover and what a great reivew.
ReplyDeleteLove all Mia Marlowes books and this one is already sitting on my shelf up next to read. Thanks for the question as well because I love a good scam!
ReplyDeleteNot sure about whether this is a possibility or not but I would love to win this book it sounds great.
ReplyDeleteBarbara
I could not run a scam if my life depended on it! I am not wired that way.
ReplyDeleteYes, I think I could run a good scam. I would assume an identity, preferably that of a woman with lots of money and a swanky New York apartment with a doorman and my own driver, cook, and housekeeper. The big problem is t can't think of what to sell.
ReplyDeletenever, and no way i'd do a scam... there's nothing good that will come.
ReplyDeleteI am way to honest to have the ability to run a scam. I am one of those people, that if I find money on the ground, I try to find the person who dropped it.
ReplyDeleteTouch of a Scoundrel sounds like an amazing read! Thank you for the opportunity. :)
My conscience would not let me. I doubt I would even contemplate it in the first place.
ReplyDeleteprobably not - I'm a terrible lier, and also think honesty is very important.
ReplyDeletei think i don't
