There
are so many romantic and wonderful twists in BE MY PRINCE by Julianne MacLean that everyone must
read it and hopefully be as delighted with it as I was. Yet the one outstanding statement for me is
something I have spoken of and truly believe.
On Page 201 at the bottom, our heroine Alexandra says…
“I have lately begun
to see that there are certain events in our lives we are not meant to
control. We do our best to make the
world work the way we want it to, but sometimes God has other plans.”
Indeed
he does and if we stay very quiet and listen our prayers will be answered in
the manner that is appropriate not necessarily as we want them to.
I
have read and reviewed BE MY PRINCE by Julianne MacLean that I received from St. Martin’s Press. Now it is time to let someone else enjoy it
and provide this copy to one lucky winner.
To be eligible to win please leave a comment on “what unanswered
prayer turned out to be a success for you?”
You must come back on Sunday – June 17th to see if you have
won and then email me with your address.
As
a fan of Claude Monet’s I am always moved by how he took the negatives in his
life to made them positives. No one
liked his paintings, they criticized his innovative style, and what he thought
was okay he went with. Life may knock
you around but look for the one shining moment in the day and celebrate a Little Victory.
REVIEW from Mary Gramlich "The Reading Reviewer"
BE MY
PRINCE
by Julianne MacLean
When
you are destined to be queen there is not much you will not do to make sure
that dream comes true. Lady Alexandra
pretends to be just another woman in search of a love match when in fact she is
chasing after His Royal Highness, Prince Randolph of Petersbourg. Randolph is about to rule the land once
controlled by Alexandra’s family before they were unceremoniously evicted and
forced to live in poverty. Having lost
everyone she loved Alexandra is determined to have what she is owed. The question becomes what it will take for
her family to be restored to the throne.
What
Alexandra did not expect is Randolph’s handsome and beguiling brother Nicholas
to capture her attention. Alex is trying
to stay focused on the prize she has to have but Nicholas is standing in the
way and she can’t stop the desire and passion she feels for him. Nicholas tries desperately to give Alexandra
the match she seeks but if that means he must give her up, he is not sure he
can comply with that request. In this
game of lies, deceit, and perhaps betrayal, nothing is as it appears and the
truth really is more powerful than the two people standing together in a heated
embrace.
Julianne
MacLean writes the romance readers crave showing her mastery in the craft of
the twisted plot.

For me it was finding the true love of my life!
ReplyDeleteI think it was having my two daughters!
ReplyDeleteI am someone who believes that God answers prayers--we just don't always appreciate the answers He gives us. One of my favorite adages is "Man plans; God laughs." Thanks for the review.
ReplyDeleteGetting a flight on an airplane
ReplyDeleteLove those unaswered prayers - led me right to the perfect job. DJ in Denver
ReplyDeleteIf your prayers are unaswered think they are still answered - just sayin'

Prayers are like your kids you have to take what you are given and be thankful for them.

Oooh, falling for the brother. Sounds heart wrenching, especially if he is acting the gentleman and trying to let her snag her prize. I have to add this to my TBR list!
ReplyDeleteA job promotion, turns out it would have been super time consuming and would have taken me away from time with my kids and husband. Guess I am glad the one who answers prayers knows more than I do!
“What unanswered prayer turned out to be a success for you?"
ReplyDeleteDoes any prayer go unanswered?
Until I gave it away, my favorite book was The Hiding Place by Corrie ten Boom.
I don't know that I had an unanswered prayer that turned out to be a success. Generally, if it was unanswered that was that.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great giveaway! This book sounds wonderful :)
ReplyDeleteUmmm... I'm more of a agnostic. Which is hard since everyone in my family is religious. We've finally come to a happy median of live and let live.
Awesome give away I agree and the story sounds great. My unanswered prayer came the day my son was born and they thought he was going to have a kidney probelm and did not. Always greatful.

ReplyDeleteNew follower and love your blog thanks for the great books. I am not sure I have a comment but I would love the book if you can enter me in the contest.
Amen I am finally online without google driving me nuts. Great blog, love your reviews and know you are a positive reviewer which is so refreshing compared to the complete crap that is posted elsewhere.
ReplyDeleteDuring my elementary graduation, I begged my mom (and prayed so hard) to send me to this private school where almost all of my classmates and schoolmates will study. But my parents cannot afford the tuition fee so they sent me to a public high school where I met wonderful people, my friends and my two best friends. We're already past a decade and hopefully counting. :D
ReplyDeletesimple example should be won books :)
ReplyDeleteI haven't experienced one yet. I have had many blessings in disguise though that I am thankful everyday for.
ReplyDeleteI believe all prayers are answered but we don't always understand his answers.
