AGAINST the SUN BY Kat Martin

Finally, I got my copy of AGAINST the SUN BY Kat Martin and immediately stopped whatever I was doing to read this book.  I ran an earlier promotion for the book to stir the presses (so to speak).  This was before I had my copy and was dying to get this read.  Now that I have all I can say is – Wow.  Of course, I knew it was going to be amazing but this one is phenomenal and to say the action never stops is an understatement.

The best part is I have not one but two books to give away that I purchased to help generate some sales.  I am going to pose the same question I did last time which is
“do you trust your instincts or do you always follow the facts?”  Please leave a comment and then come back on Sunday – June 17th to see if you are a winner.  You will have two weeks to claim your book by sending me an email with your address.

Extras for you as well….

AGAINST the SUN BY Kat Martin

Can you ever mix business with pleasure successfully?

Sage Dumont learned the oil business from the bottom floor up and earned her position.  She is determined to close the biggest deal ever for the family business and nothing will stop this Texas family from moving into the Middle East oil territory.  No amount of threats, bad press, or a hot bodyguard is going to distract her.  Wait Jake Cantrell is my bodyguard, not my personal dream of a man right.  The one thing Jake knows is how to do security detail and keep his client safe, but no one told him he hand to keep his hands to himself.

Jake does his best to keep Sage from being blown to bits by someone opposed to her deal his hands are full.  She is used to being the boss and has Houston society flowing from her every pore yet Jake is not intimidated and sees her as a challenge that will be mastered.  Sage is a constant surprise in the boardroom and Jake envisions the same for the bedroom, now he has to figure out how to get her there.  Jake has never mixed business with pleasure but right now that is all he wants to do.

Sage and Jake work as a team to figure out what scenario is playing out behind the scenes.  There are risks at stake that go beyond Sage’s company right into the hands of Homeland Security, or so they suspect.  Can this executive and her bodyguard stop potential terrorists before something worse than the deal blows up?

When you count your reading blessings, make sure you are grateful that Kat Martin always has another book in the works.  Ms. Martin defines the meaning of a phenomenal writer and proves it with every piece of literature she has produced.

  1. I tend to be a technical person so I am more inclined to follow the facts but I do occasionally display some spontaneity and act according to my instincts, alas, not always successfully (which is why I am not a good gambler, lol). Thank you for the review.

  2. I usually follow the facts, but sometimes I go by instinct. It all depends on the situation.

  3. I would probably do both, but now that I am a little older I do trust my instincts more.

  7. It really depends on the situation. When I was raising my kids my instincts were usually good but it was based on knowing them.

  8. I think it would depend on the situation I'm in. I usually just follow the facts though for most situations.

  11. I wish I had gone with my instincts more than I have. Facts just don't tell the whole story.

I have two books from this series so far but I was hoping to get them all before starting, unless someone can tell me they don't need to be read in order?

  15. I do a little of bath as well. It depends on how strong the facts or how strong the instinct.

  16. “do you trust your instincts or do you always follow the facts?” Actually I do both but after living for 69 yrs I follow instincts more than facts. Sometimes it pays and other times it doesn't. lol

I think sometimes I follow my instincts, but usually I follow my head.

  19. I enjoy Kat Martin's books :)
I use a bit of both. I would say initially I go by instincts but would also need facts to follow through.
