Mary’s Monet Moment...Contest Winners for WE 05-05-12

Another interesting week which if they were not what would I do with myself.  My son was set to have his surgery on the 2nd but due to the fact that the damage was more intense than expected it is now on Monday.  The plastic surgeon is a completely arrogant, self-consumed man which I think when you are the best you act like it.  This is me convincing myself that everything will be alright.

Now to the important part of our day – my contest winners.  You have to send me an email please with your home address to marygramlich@yahoo.com so I can get these out to you.

Lori Wilde – The Cowboy Takes  A Bride – Erin

Roxanne St. Claire – Barefoot in the Sand: Christine and Carol M

  1. Don't be afraid to look for another doctor if this one makes you feel uncomfortable. Arrogance does not equal competence!

  3. Mary, your son is in my prayers.Arrogant Dr.s who think they're God are most annoying. As long as they are the best, it's in the patients favor. :)Hang in there. We're all praying for a successful recovery.
    Congrats to the winners.

  9. Prayers continuing for your son and your family and friends.

Hope, when you are talking with the doctor, you have a neutral friend taking notes. So helpful for reminding you of questions you meant to ask and noting details you miss when your mind freezes.

Elf's advice is good. Sometimes a second opinion makes a world of difference, even if the advice is identical. It's the reassurance that works.

Also, sometimes doctors' "arrogance" is social ineptitude, particularly at giving less than great news or talking to a woman.
