Aloha to busy weekend

Aloha!  I have a busy weekend ...

1.  I am joining a historical author and her family for a tour around Oahu.  First stop - Aloha Stadium's Swap Meet!  More to come about the author ...

2.  My husband's barbershop chorus, SOUNDS OF ALOHA, is performing their annual spring show.   It pokes fun at the ongoing debate to build a light rail to ease commuter problems.

3.  We'll spend Mother's Day with my mother-in-law in Kailua!

How about you - what do you have planned this weekend?

Mahalo,

Kim in Hawaii

  7. Hi Kim!

How about an audio of your husband and his group singing so we could all share in the fun?

My mother-in-law recently moved back to Rhode Island from Florida and comes over every Sunday morning for breakfast but this week she's staying all day for dinner as well. On Monday we're driving her to Connecticut (she's 83 so we encourage her to drive as little as possible) to see her sister-in-law her daughter and also nephew (my husband's cousins).

It's going to be a long drive and Route 95 is bad on a good day much less on a day with everyone going to work so hopefully we'll get an early start.

We really wanted to do something special for her and know this means a lot to her. Sometimes it's important to do something instead of just buy something that means the most.

  9. It's going to be a low-key weekend for us. I spent the day running errands and helping my mom with the gardening in the backyard. It's sunny and there's some breeze so it's very calming.

I wish you a fantastic weekend!

  10. We're in Houston for the weekend, taking a break from driving and waiting to make a delivery on Monday. Will hook up with some friends we have here and also do the laundry at the truck stop. Hopefully catch up on some more internet stuff.

    Happy Mother's Day to all!!
