Home in Hawaii

Aloha from Hawaii!   After my six week tour of the mainland, it's great to be home!   My son and I were sitting on the right side of the aircraft as it flew by the southern end of Oahu ... so we had a bird's eye view of Hickam Field and Pearl Harbor.  We found our house, the USS Arizona Memorial, and the Navy's "boneyard" in the West Loch.

Hubby met me at the airport with a lei!

I unpacked 16 boxes and 20 envelopes with more books and promos to giveaway here at The Reading Reviewer.

Today we salute another homecoming - the Atlantis safely landed and closed a historic chapter on space exploration.  In honor of its homecoming, I am giving away "space food" - a package of freeze dried "Cookies and creme" ice cream from the gift shop in the National Museum of the Air Force.   To enter the giveaway,

1.  Leave a comment about coming home from an extended absence.

2.  This giveaway is open to all readers.

3.  Comments are open through Monday, July 25, 10 pm in Hawaii.  I'll post the winner on Tuesday, July 26.

Mahalo,
