Today the Army celebrates its 236th Birthday! From the Minute Man to the Deployed Soldier, the Army has steadfastly defended freedom and preserved democracy. The Army enables authors to write what they want and readers to read what they want.
In honor of the Army's longevity, I am giving away a book of choice from the RWA National Convention (book list will be available on July 5). To enter the giveaway,
1. Leave a comment about the Army (US or allied country) - do you know any veterans or family members?
2. This giveaway is open to all readers.
3. Comments are open through Monday, June 20, 10 pm in Tampa. I'll post the winners on Tuesday, June 21.

Kim in Tampa
From the Army Band website (with MP3 download available):
March along, sing our song, with the Army of the free.
Count the brave, count the true, who have fought to victory.
We’re the Army and proud of our name!
We’re the Army and proudly proclaim:
And to build the Nation’s might,
And The Army Goes Rolling Along.
Proud of all we have done,
Fighting till the battle’s won,
And the Army Goes Rolling Along.
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong;
For where’er we go,
You will always know
That The Army Goes Rolling Along.
San Juan Hill and Patton’s tanks,
And the Army went rolling along.
Minute men, from the start,
Always fighting from the heart,
And the Army keeps rolling along.
Men in rags, men who froze,
Still that Army met its foes,
And the Army went rolling along.
Faith in God, then we’re right,
And we’ll fight with all our might,
As the Army keeps rolling along.
The Army’s on its way.
Count off the cadence loud and strong; (two! three!)
For where’er we go,
You will always know
That THE ARMY GOES ROLLING ALONG! (keep it rolling!)
And THE ARMY GOES ROLLING ALONG!
